On Monday, Canada police ended their investigation into Gursimran Kaur’s death in a Walmart bakery’s walk-in oven last month.

The Halifax police announced in an official statement that they had found “no indication of foul play” and that the death was “not suspicious” after inquiry.

On October 19, a 19-year-old was found dead in an appliance at a Halifax superstore. Her mother, who had worked at the store for the past two years, reportedly discovered her daughter burned to death.

“We acknowledge that there have been a lot of inquiries concerning what transpired. The Halifax Regional Police’s Public Information Officer, Martin Cromwell, stated that thorough investigations require time.

“As a part of the investigation, we conducted several interviews and reviewed video footage. I can share that our investigation has not led us to suspect foul play. “We do not believe anyone else was involved. We acknowledge the public’s interest in this case and understand that some questions will never have answers,” he added.

Walmart Oven Incident: Employee’s Viral Video Raises Questions About Safety

The Halifax police described the probe as “complex” and involving multiple partner agencies last month.

Gursimran Kaur reportedly spent two years working at Walmart with her mother. India is where her brother and father reside.

Chris Breezie, a coworker, claimed in a TikTok video that went viral last month that the oven she used at Walmart switched on from the outside and that the door handle was “very hard” to open.

Breezie, who claimed to be 5’1, stated, “I do not even know if I would fit in here,” as she demonstrated how Walmart’s oven operates. “To get in, I would have to squat down.”

She emphasized that no task needed a worker to physically enter the oven, and that there was an emergency latch inside the oven.

In the video, she stated, “There is no way imaginable anybody could lock themself in there,” It “does not make any sense” because the door does not close on its own, according to Mary, another employee. You must press it; listen to the click,” she added. When Walmart’s bakery ovens are so safe to use, she continued, “I am not trying to conjecture or construct a conspiracy, it is simply hard to wrap my head around that.”
