In a stunning comeback during the U.S. Elections, Donald Trump won a second term on November 6, 2024, defeating Kamala Harris.

Trump defeated Vice-President Kamala Harris, becoming the 47th U.S. president with a non-consecutive second term, marking history.

Trump, in West Palm Beach, pledged to heal the nation, saying, “We’re going to help our country heal.”

The 78-year-old Trump promised a “golden age” for America, emphasizing his “unprecedented and powerful mandate” from voters.

Trump emphasized his victory’s significance, declaring, “We have taken back control of the Senate” after winning the election.

In her concession speech at Howard University, Kamala Harris acknowledged the results and urged unity despite the defeat.

Harris urged acceptance of the election results, stating, “While I concede this election, I do not concede the fight.”

Harris vowed to continue fighting for her vision through voting, courts, and public discourse, despite conceding the election.

At 78, Trump’s victory makes him the oldest president in U.S. history and one of two to win a non-consecutive second term.

President Joe Biden, who spoke with both Trump and Harris on Wednesday, plans to address the election results publicly on Thursday.

The White House confirmed that President Biden has invited the newly elected president, Donald Trump, to meet soon to discuss the transition.
