The official teaser released by Kia hinted at the rather boxy shape of this SUV.

It will be the carmaker’s third SUV in India after the Sonet and the Seltos. The company also offers MPVs like the Carens and the Carnival, and premium electric vehicles (EVs) like the EV6 and the flagship EV9.

According to our sources, the Syros will sit between the Sonet and the Seltos in Kia’s SUV line-up. For reference, the Sonet is priced between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 15.77 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Seltos price starts at Rs 10.90 lakh and goes up to Rs 20.45 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Kia Syros has already been spied testing in India. The official teaser released by the company hinted at its rather boxy shape. The compact SUV will have vertically stacked LED headlights, as highlighted by the official teaser.

Offering a lot of segment-first and segment-best features has been the USP of Kia, right from the Seltos way back in 2019 till the new Carnival last month.

We expect a similar treatment to the Syros with features like an electric sunroof, touchscreen infotainment, automatic climate control, ventilated seats and even driver assistance systems. There have also been reports suggesting that this vehicle will have better second-row seating than the Sonet in terms of space and comfort.

The Kia Syros will take on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
