Rama Krishna Hari Supriya Sule Reacts to Ajit Pawar’s Bitcoin Comment
Mumbai:
In response to questions about claims of bitcoin fraud against his cousin and Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar stated today that the Maharashtra government will launch an investigation to uncover the truth. He further emphasized that the investigation would provide clarity on the matter. Mr. Pawar, who is contesting the Assembly elections from Baramati, declared this morning, “We will conduct an inquiry, and we will present the truth to the people, ensuring full transparency and accountability in the process.”
I can tell by their tone that the audio clip has their voices. Everything will become obvious after an investigation,” he continued.
The comments underscore the growing animosity between the two NCP factions, with one led by Ajit Pawar and the other by veteran politician and party founder Sharad Pawar, along with his daughter, Ms. Supriya Sule. As a result, the party finds itself divided, with both factions now competing fiercely in this election to see which can win over the electorate. Consequently, this rivalry has intensified as both groups strive for dominance, further fueling the political tension within the party.
BJP Raises Allegations Against Supriya Sule and Nana Patole Over Bitcoin Scam in Election Campaign
Retired IPS officer Ravindranath Patil has charged Ms. Sule and Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole with participating in a bitcoin scam that began in 2018. According to his claims, the money from this scam was subsequently utilized during the campaign for the assembly election. Furthermore, he argues that these funds were strategically employed to influence the election process, thereby raising serious concerns about their impact on the fairness of the election.
The BJP seized on the retired officer’s comment, and Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi charged that Mr. Patole and Ms. Sule were influencing election outcomes through illicit bitcoin transactions.
The dealer alleges that the audio snippets make reference to the necessity of funding elections. The Congress Party is confronted with the following five questions today: First and foremost, is it engaged in bitcoin transactions? Second, do you communicate with anyone by the name of Mehta or Gaurav Gupta? Fourth, are the clips’ audio recordings real? Fifth, to whom do the “huge people” refer? “Mr. Pawar added.”
Sule Denies Allegations, Challenges BJP to Public Discussion and Defamation Action
Ms. Sule has firmly refuted the claims and, in response, challenged the BJP to engage in a public discussion on the matter. “I refute every accusation that Sudhanshu Trivedi made against me. All of this is speculation and hearsay. Furthermore, I am fully prepared to discuss these allegations with any BJP official in a public setting, at any time, and on any day,” she stated on X. In addition, she emphasized her willingness to address the issue openly, underscoring her commitment to clearing her name.
She stated that Mr. Trivedi’s “unfounded” accusations were disgusting. However, she added that they were “not shocking,” given that they blatantly spread misleading information the night before the elections. Furthermore, she emphasized that, by making such false claims with the intention of misleading the public, Sudhanshu Trivedi would receive both a criminal and civil defamation notice from her attorney. The NCP (SP) leader also mentioned this morning that she had already issued a criminal defamation letter to Mr. Trivedi. She concluded by asserting that all of these claims were nothing but falsehoods.
Ms. Sule smiled and said, “He is Ajit Pawar, he can say anything,” in response to Ajit Pawar’s accusation that the voice on a widely shared audio tape is hers. Hari Rama Krishna.
Additionally, the five-time MP has complained to Pune’s Cyber Cell and Election Commission.
Sharad Pawar, the father of Ms. Sule and the founder of the NCP, stated: “The individual who brought the accusations spent several months behind bars. Only the BJP can bring such individual along and make untrue accusations.
